1)What are some of the things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to take care of the environment?
Some school are ask to bring their electric bills from home to track their monthly bills and they would be teach on how to save energy. Some school also teach their student about the changes of climate and energy conservation.Another school,Elias park primary school contribute fruit peels to the school compost bins which would convert waste food into fertilizers.Commonwealth Secondary school has their own wetland and the students would test how clean the treated water is and study the wetland's plant and animals. The lower secondary students from Marsiling Secondary School do experiments on energy in their school while Nanyang Girls High School do not allow cardboard takeway boxes in school and the student were asked to bring their own boxes from home.
2)Do you think one person's effort in reducing, reusing and recycling will make a difference in saving the environment? What steps have you taken in the effort to save the earth? No,one person's effort in helping to save the environment would not make a difference. It need more than one persons or maybe a millions person to make a difference to the world.I have been helping by switch of all lights and fans when not in used in school and at home.I always through my waste paper in the recycling box provided for us.I also used my paper wisely and not waste it,example is that i used the front and back of the paper. At home,i used fans instead of air-conditioner and of computers and televisyen when i'm not using it anymore.
